I wonder if I’ll ever get tired of flying. The cloud cover was heavy today, rainfall has flooded a lot of the country in the last 18 hours. Above the cloud was beautiful – a complete dissociation from reality. Getting away from the real world, the quintessential human desire. I bought Takk by Sigur Ros yesterday and listened to it during the flight which compounded the beauty of the experience. It’s a sweet record.

I watched the cloud the whole time. Clouds are like music: textured but fluid, chaotic but structured. So many forms, textures and shapes but all made of the same stuff governed by the same rules.

I slept on the bus from Torp to Oslo so I didn’t see too much of the scenery. I remember seeing a couple of quarries and going through at least a dozen tunnels.

Oslo is pretty, smaller than I imagined. Autumn is well underway here. I walked through the city centre on my way to Kris’s – I wouldn’t mind living somewhere like this, if it wasn’t so expensive.
